In the first installment of the new interview series leading up to the Iowa State Finals, Bob Steenlage recalls his experience as being the first wrestler to win the Championship four times.
What a inspirational video. If you’ve ever wrestled for four years in Iowa high school, you are respected. If you qualify for the state wrestling tournament, you are known in your area. If you place or win state, you’ll be known in your region. When you capture multiple state titles, the whole state knows you!! But, when those special wrestlers capture four titles in IOWA high school wrestling, the whole wrestling nation knows you!! There is nothing better than watching a young man capture his fourth title. I feel blessed to be part of that standing ovation since Mark Schwab captured his fourth title in 1985. Great job on the video.

We're fundraising to cover the costs of making this documentary. We'll be traveling across the State of Iowa for six months to tell this story and we need your help to make this happen.
